Summary: What a beautiful property—and a perfect set up for a family with kids (except for the fact that they barely wanted to leave the house to explore the area!). Well stocked, clean, quiet, comfortable…all the things we’d hoped for—and still fairly close to the fun of downtown Asheville. Owners were responsive and friendly. The only thing to note is that it is a very steep gravel driveway with a sharp right turn into it if you are coming from down the hill. We were in a 12 passenger transit van, and it was a little dicey—especially as there were some pretty big potholes left from previous storms. Once you’re up, there’s plenty of flat space to park and turn around, but prepare yourself for the ascent ;-). Could be improved by widening the bottom of the drive and paving, but I know that’s a hefty expense. Smaller cars likely not a problem.
