Summary: We had a wonderful time on the Cape!!! We were 6 adults and 2 children, ages 6 and 8. There is no shortage of things to do and being right on the beach has its own special charm. That said, the house had its issues. I always like to check in with the landlord after a day of "getting to know" the home, regarding issues that I don't want to be held responsible for....There were several but overall, the biggest issue was the cleanliness of the place. I reported to the owner that whoever does the cleaning should be held accountable for their shoddy work...we pay a lot in cleaning fees and it's was a huge disappointment that we spent several hours cleaning to make it acceptable....The owner got right back to me and was quite apologetic...he immediately had a new toaster delivered and told me he would refund the cleaning fee....On our last day , while we were packing up, the owner came to visit and talk with me...He had driven several hours to replace a few broken chairs and to meet with the cleaners....I was quite touched with his willingness to make things right with his home and his effort to reach out to me and my family. I cannot say enough nice things about Jay....I just hope he isn't being taken advantage of by people who are supposed to be working for him. With all of that, I would def consider going back....it's a wonderful beach vibe in an area with so many fun things to do as well as great restaurants, convenient shopping and beautiful sunsets!!!
