Newport Naval Base - 15 min. scenic, water view drive over 2 bridges
If you are here to explore our surrounding area, this is a perfect hub-like location for attending events or dining in Narragansett, historic Newport, Jamestown or Providence, as well as, day trips to Block Island and Boston.
We all things botanical so, hopefully, you'll enjoy our houseplants all year-long and summer flowers as much as we do. Like all enthusiastic gardeners, we are also happy to share plant cuttings when they are available.
This is our third summer and second fall for hosting and the pleasure has definitely been ours. We have already met numerous, wonderful people. Our aim is to make your stay as easy and as pleasurable as possible with an emphasis on comfort and catering to your unique needs.
We've been known to allow our guests to stay as late as they'd like on check-out day, provided that we don't have guests booked to arrive that same day.
Essentially, we have been fully booked with very positive feedback. We are thankful to each of our guests for making this a successful and enjoyable endeavor.
A couple of side notes in the feedback department:
interestingly, the mattress in the master has been found particularly comfortable for several of our guests.
Additionally, we put a premium on CLEAN. Each of our guests have taken note of our efforts and been particularly appreciative of our high standards. If by chance we miss a spot please feel free to point it out - if you don’t mind the interruption, we will take care of it ASAP.
We have only recently completed much of our interior renovations with you in mind - aiming to make things aesthetically pleasing, as comfortable as possible, and conducive to just relaxing when enjoying the ocean, exploring or visiting family/friends.
We’re still working on the exterior and will continue to improve that as we are able. Rest assured though that things are ready for you and we’ll do everything we can to ensure that your time here is as we would want it ourselves.
The interior is filled with natural light during the day. To give you an idea of the layout - walking in the front door you'll be in the living room where there is a comfortable leather couch and love seat and plenty of room to relax. Just a few steps away is the main level 1/2 bath and laundry access. The kitchen is to the right with a dine-in table for up to six, stainless-steel appliances, and all the needs for home cooking. .

A fairly steep flight of stairs connects the first and second floors.
On the second floor are two good size bedrooms with a queen bed in each room. Window A/C units available during warmer weather.
All linens are provided: "oversized" king duvets or coverlets, pillows and towels.
"Blackout curtains" on all bedroom windows!
The main bath is centrally located. It has a beautifully tiled tub shower and granite vanity/porcelain sink.
The home is located in a quiet neighborhood. We have a large yard surrounded by trees. At the end of our street is the picturesque Narrow River.
It's only 5 minutes to the ocean. It's a scenic 8 minute drive to the Narragansett Town Beach and well traversed seawall. Drive another 7 minutes and you’ll be at Scarborough State Beach. Our family is split regarding our favorite beach - we welcome your vote to tip the scales.
Several conveniences are very close by: CVS, Walgreens, Cumberland Farms, Dunkin’ Donuts, as well as gas stations and banks. We also have a couple of fresh farm produce providers and a Saturday Farmer's Market.
Grocery stores, Walmart, UPS, Dollar Tree and an assortment of dining options are less than 15 mins away.
The property is owner-occupied with an attached separate townhouse-style unit. The host is friendly and hospitable - will be readily available for needs that may arise, concerns, directions and recreational ideas. Feel free to reach out.
