Come enjoy a mountain getaway in a private gated community just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy all of the amenities that Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock have to offer. The cabin is nestled within 4 wooded acres offering ample space and privacy to enjoy nature. The fenced in back yard offers unobstructed long rang winter views. There is a balcony off the main floor with a gas grill , a fire pit, and a brand new hot tub. The beautiful mountain views and the rushing sounds of the river, makes The Gateway Getaway the perfect mountain escape for families, friends, or a romantic weekend away. Inside the cabin sits two full size king bedrooms, two full baths, and a loft with an additional day bed and trundle providing two twin beds. Each room will be equipped with night stands and USB ports for charging accessibility. Two flat screen tvs are located in the cabin, both with ROKU attachments making them smart TV compatible.
This is a dog-friendly home. A $250 pet fee (plus tax) will be applied to your reservation if you plan to bring a pet with you. (Please inquire with owner for approval prior to booking your reservation) Maximum 2 dogs allowed. Pet Addendum must be signed and fees paid in full prior to receiving the access codes for check in. Dog(s) must be house and crate trained. Sorry, no cats or exotic animals are allowed. Failure to get pet approval prior to your stay will result in a fine of $400.

If you are an outdoor adventure enthusiast, or just looking to enjoy the outdoors; our cabin is perfectly located to provide many different options. You will have personal access to the Broad River located at the front of the neighborhood.
3 miles away, you can find Canopy Ridge Farm Zip-lining. Looking for a great trail near Lake Lure? AllTrails.com has 12 great hiking trails nearby. Chimney Rock State Park State Park provides its own set of trails, as well as, rock climbing and bouldering. In Lake Lure, you can find the marina, fishing, or relax at the lake’s public beach. Want to get out on the water? Visit our friends at Lake Lure Adventure Company; located only 4 miles from the cabin. They offer pontoon boat rentals, water skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, kneeboarding, and SUP & kayak rentals.
After a day of outdoors, make a quick drive 9 miles to Chimney Rock and visit Burntshirt Vineyards Bistro. They offer full food & beverage menus. The covered patio offers some breathtaking views of both Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls.
A personal family favorite for dinner is the Esmeralda Restaurant, also located in Chimney Rock. It offers a friendly and casual atmosphere. It also has the only 'Chef's Table' in town.
The cabin is also a quick 15 minute drive to the Tryon International Equestrian Center. The TIEC is the ultimate destination for all who love horses, outdoor adventure, and an active lifestyle. It offers onsite restaurants, a variety of shops, family entertainment, and more.
Now it’s time to get back to the cabin and unwind from your day of adventure and exploration. Relax in our secluded and cozy cabin up in the mountains. Enjoy the bonfire under the stars or a relaxing drink on the expansive front porch. Lastly, cozy up next to the fireplace while enjoying a book or a movie. Want to eat in? Our home is fully equipped with everything you should need to offer in house breakfast, lunch, or dinner including a gas grill.
The closest supermarket is Ingles, less than 5 miles away. It offers everything you might need, including a pharmacy, a gas station, and a new Starbucks.

$59 Accidental Damage Waiver which covers up to $1500 in accidental damage during a guest stay. Any damage in excess of $1500 will be the guest's responsibility. Negligent or purposeful damage will be the responsibility of the guests and is not covered by the accidental damage insurance.
$300 Cleaning Fee (Covers extensive turnover after each guest and hot tub cleaning and maintenance)

Lake Drawdowns: The lake drawdown schedule is typically 5 months in duration and during non-peak season periods - may be required to complete ongoing projects. In 2021, the plan is to begin lowering the lake on 11/1/21 and will being to refill the lake on 3/31/2022. The lake will not be accessible by boat, paddle boards, kayaks, or any other water devices.
