Guests may paddle board in the early morning light, fish the fully stocked three acre pond, or walk the grounds in search of the hidden labyrinth. And don't forget to experience the stargazing ability from beyond the pond at night!
End the day with a trail hike and a glass of wine on the patio while taking in the gorgeous sunset views across the lake at this incredible one-of-a-kind destination retreat.
Your listing includes a large condo style apartment located on the second floor. It is completely private and accessed using stone steps. You have the entire condo to yourself, with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen, and private patio. You also have access to the shared patio below, the pond/garden/grounds/labyrinth. Our guests frequently say "Wow! We had no idea this was here!"
Many kitchen items needed for cooking are provided by host. Bathrooms are stocked with luxury shampoos, conditioners, bath products and more—as well as extra toiletries for anything you might have missed! Each condo has a washer and dryer and laundry essentials. Guests will fine plenty of snacks and a selection of drinks upon arrival that are complimentary!
This is a natural escape. You will enjoy gorgeous views and breathtaking sunsets. Bring bikes and ride the nearby bike trails. Hike the Roger Presley scenic trail. Hike the trails at Harmony Farm. Fish, swim, boat, lay out. Make a fire, grill out, find the labyrinth, and so much more!
There are multiple units on this property. Guests may see or pass other guests. We try to keep things calm and peaceful so that you don’t have to interact with anyone unless you choose, but it doesn’t always mean you will have the resort to yourself.
Guests are welcome to walk the grounds freely, and we urge you to do so!
PLEASE NOTE: We do occasionally have small events going on in other buildings or nearby areas of the property. This is rare, but it does happen once in a blue moon. We will do our best to communicate with you as to the nature of these activities prior to your stay. Again, this is super rare.
The large wrap around deck is considered common area and provides a lounge sofa, grill, table and chairs, and also a designated patio area specifically for guests of the lower condo (the area under the pergola).
This opportunity is a nature lover’s dream! Boat, swim, make a fire, forage from the garden, go bike riding, explore down to the river, fish from the lake or river, take a hike—do it all at Harmony Farm!
There is a spa and pool onsite, however they are CLOSED for the 2023 season. The owners (Katie & Andy) are working hard to bring the best possible amenities to you as quickly as we can, and as soon as this is open again we will list it here. Each stay helps us as we strive to improve the property a little more every day!
We are currently offering boat /watercraft and fire pits for use. These are first come first serve and we ask that guests take care of these items and turn them over if needed to stay dry for future guests. Release waivers are required at booking.
We also have queen size air mattresses, extra bedding, pack n plays, high chairs, strollers, and children’s books and toys. Please reach out should you need anything IN ADVANCE so that we can make sure your stay is perfect.
Bugs and Weather: As much as we’d like to, we don’t control the weather, wildlife, or bugs! With that being said, here in Ohio mosquitos are a part of nature and common here during the warmer months. We try to have bug spray in the unit, but it isn’t always guaranteed as guests sometimes walk out with it. Please prepare with bug repellant for the evenings when they are most active, so that you can be out by the water or have a campfire should you want to do so!
Ohio also has a variety of bugs that live here and come out depending on the weather / seasons. These range from the completely harmless but annoying brown marmorated stink bug and earwigs to your common spiders and flies. Rest assured, the bugs you may encounter are not associated with cleanliness of the unit, so if by rare occasion you happen to see a critter wander or fly past you inside the condo, fear not! We have very thorough cleanings between guests. As long as you keep the doors and fireplace doors closed, it will be difficult for them to get in. (Due to this, we are unable to offer refunds for an occasional bug in the house! Thank you for understanding that this is a nature resort.)
As for boats and patio furniture, our patios are not enclosed, and occasionally the patio furniture, cushions, or coverings may get wet. Boats (if not turned over properly from the previous guest) may have some water or foliage in them. We do our best to blow our grounds multiple times a week, but we are also parents with two farms and five young children, and we do not always get it 100% perfect. Should you have an unexpected storm during your stay, please reach out and we can provide towels for drying boats or furniture and if we are around, can even do it for you.
We want your stay to be perfect, so please reach out during your stay if something is bothering you! Each unit is filled with extra toiletries, so please ask or feel free to look around if you need something.
Fireplaces may be used and firewood is provided, however, when booking, you assume all risk in operating the fireplaces and acknowledge you know how to operate a wood burning fireplace. Please ensure your flu is open and that nothing is sitting too close to your fire.
We offer a variety of services NEXT DOOR in our wellness center, including reflexology, chiropractic care, therapeutic massage, cranial sacral, ionic foot detox, face lift facials, chair massage, nutrition counseling, sound therapy, guided meditation, Reiki, private yoga, and homeopathic care/counseling. We offer wine in both units for a fee, and payment information is available inside your unit for reimbursement.
