Now to the fun part! We are looking to share our custom designer home of over 1100 square feet, with a few special people who will take care of the cabin & enjoy it as much as we do. A quiet neighborhood (no highway noise) with level entry parking (no stairs from the street or the driveway!), no steep driveways or stairs with ice & snow! Key Less entry, Park by the front door and carry your bags & groceries directly into the front door and right to the kitchen!! Vaulted ceilings throughout the main entertainment area. Large deck with table, chairs and two chaises. The deck umbrella, and chair cushions are in the Master bedroom walk in closet. The deck is great for star gazing, a glass of wine and a good book or for outdoor meal.
King Size Master suite has an en-suite bathroom, entertainment center with remotes, ceiling fan, full size chest of drawers, full length mirror, reading lamps, walk in closet, custom wood blinds & curtains for sleeping in. It is a perfect retreat for romantic or rejuvenating weekends, anniversaries, birthday celebrations or extended vacations. Surprise your loved one with a fabulous luxurious getaway.
The altitude of approx 5200 feet allows for the enjoyment of all four seasons. Dual glazed windows and 2 sets of dual glazed sliding doors, an Eco friendly Nest thermostat, Central Heat & Air Conditioning make your stay comfortable no matter what the weather. So come back more than once!
The open floor plan with 2 story vaulted ceilings and a gas log fireplace, spacious dining with panoramic views from all rooms make this a true treasure. We have added a USB port for charging by the dining table with an outlet. The kitchen area overlooks the entertaining areas, the outdoor deck & extended panoramic views as well.
Totally renovated with custom cabinetry, granite counter tops, appliances, antique iron & art works. The furniture has been thoughtfully selected to maximize the comfort & enjoyment of our home. The two story Living room windows & fireplace are enhanced with a massive custom pine mantel & antique ski equipment & mementos. The leather recliner couches allow for the comfort of home as you bask in the glow of the fireplace on a chilly evening or curl up with one of the ultra soft throws to watch TV.
We pay for Charter WiFi to share as well as Amazon Prime for you to enjoy on both Smart TVs, as well as numerous free cable news programing and shows via Roku (News, ABC, CBS, FOX, etc). In the Master suite there is also a DVD player, as we leave an abundance of DVD's.
Custom seasonal designer decor enhances the ambiance & the enjoyment of each visit. Panoramic views from inside & outdoor eating venues make meals an event to remember. Bird watchers delight! By the way, the night sky is fabulous if you enjoy star gazing...or sitting out on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine or a good book.

The kitchen is well appointed with brand new dishes, glassware, stainless flatware, Anodized cooking sets & a great variety of utensils. Above & beyond all of the stainless steel appliances including a built in microwave, side by side SS Frigidaire refrigerator with ice maker, SS dishwasher & brand new 5 burner gas stove, a Panini sandwich grill, crock pot, tea kettle, blender, toaster & coffee maker. Use the vintage Roger Kent collectors tray to carry your lunch or breakfast out to the deck for a romantic meal with fabulous views.

Well stocked beautiful new bathroom includes granite counter tops, new cabinetry, hardware, slate floors & lots of amenities. The bathroom is well stocked with a hair dryer, night light, shampoo, shower gel, tissues, q-tips, emergency band aid items, make-up remover sheets, 2 sets of bath towels, hand towels & washcloths.
The cabin is surrounded by a variety of trees, it is easy access off of the #173 highway. It is about 4.5 miles to Arrowhead Village, about 2 miles to either Cedar Glen or Blue Jay for grocery, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. If you prefer a respite & enjoy afternoon naps or a private reading area, our loft is the perfect place for you. The bookshelf has books for your entertainment, a perfect spot for reading. There is a side table if you prefer to load your laptop & face book page with tips & anecdotes about your trip.
Lake Arrowhead is quite a unique gem in the local mountains. It is a privately owned lake, with a quaint village & numerous attractions & activities. Visit the Lake at the Village, take the River Queen boat tour around the Lake or take water ski lessons from the Village Ski School. Just a reminder, the Lake is accessible only to property owners with ID and their membership card, vacations renters are not permitted on the beaches at this time.
We have compiled a large 3 ring binder book that we leave on the shelf under the coffee table with maps & information about many of the venues, restaurants, specialty shopping, hiking maps and info, other activities & local events for you to peruse at your leisure. Some of our favorites are the Tudor House dinners and music, their Sunday brunch with live entertainment is one of the best ever. The Village, Blue Jay & Cedar Glen both have numerous restaurants & shopping, Lou and Eddies in Sky Forest is renowned for it's pizza. The Elk's Club in Rim Forest is open for meals to the public. Great Saturday night dinners & country style Sunday breakfasts.
The Deerhorn Cabin is an inviting & warm home, so whether you enjoy the Fall colors, the Winter snows, the Spring blooms or the Summer experiences, you will find it all here waiting for you.
We leave a bottle of hand sanitizer on the kitchen counter and ask all guests to use it each time they enter the cabin. The cabin is then thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between guests.

Our rates are very reasonable. The fees charged by the County of San Bernadino and by VRBO are out of our control. In addition to an annual fee we also pay VRBO additional fees per booking as well as a credit card fee! The overhead for WiFi, Amazon, gas, trash, electric, land clearing for fire prevention, maintenance, on-going upgrades and replenishing supplies does not leave any wiggle room in the budget. We hope you understand that this is a lot of work to maintain, time, money and energy. We also understand if this does not meet your budget, we are sure you will find something else.
