This is a new construction home, just finished in the Spring of 2023! The floor plan was designed with ease of access in mind with an open concept and lots of natural light. The loft is a great bonus space for additional guest to stay; with floor to ceiling windows for star gazing at night this will surely captivate you! The house is filled with windows which let in tons of natural light and the majority of them all face a large open field and woods with no neighbors in site. The location allows for wildlife viewing with lots of deer and birds regularly visiting, which you can enjoy from the large porch.
The home has been well equipped with all of the comforts you can think of. The kitchen has been setup with everything you could need to take advantage of creating memorable at home meals, supplied by the many Farmers Markets, Fish/Lobster Markets, and Butcher Shops in the area. If there is something you need, all you have to do is ask and it can be provided within a couple of hours to help elevate your stay! Don't want to cook!? We can't blame you! Take advantage of the provided picnic setup and fill your basket with local market treats to bring to popular outdoor BYO like Young's Lobster Pound in Belfast (they supply the Lobsters, Clams, etc and you bring the rest!) or sprawl out on the lawns of the Camden Library or the Belfast Boat House to take in the ocean views. We can also provide beach chairs, a large cooler, a wagon, etc. upon request so you can enjoy a day in the hills or at the beach.
Searsmont is nestled in between two idyllic Mid-Coast Maine Towns, both of which are under 15 minutes away. Camden to the South and Belfast to the North, you’ll be able to soak in all these coastal charming towns have to offer. Lincolnville Beach is also minutes away and Searsmont offers Fraternity Village Store and Threshers Brewing which are both less than 5 minutes from the home. Additionally, there are tons of picturesque views right in the backyard! Walk like the neighbors do up and down Muzzy Ridge and Lawry Rd to enjoy the views of Levenseller Mountain and munch on wild blueberries from nearby barons including on the property! Less than a mile away, also on Muzzy Ridge is a great little hike to the top of Blueberry Hill that allows for 360 views of the Camden Hills - if you’re lucky enough you’ll get to see one of the locals take off from their at home airstrip.
In addition to nearby Lincolnville, Camden, and Belfast you will also be under 30 Minutes to Rockport, 35 minutes to Rockland, Bar Harbor (depending on traffic) is about an hours drive, Bangor airport is an hour North, and Portland is under 2 hours South. There will be no shortage of places to explore when you stay here and we will be sure to provide you with our favorite places and must sees!
