Relax, unwind, and recharge after exploring Acadia in a tiny house A-Frame (on wheels) located in the heart of DownEast Maine. Acadia 4 offers the perfect mix of luxury, nature, and seclusion in the woods. You will feel like you are a million miles away yet we are only 15 minutes from civilization (and L. L. Bean!); conveniently located just 10 miles from historic Ellsworth (the gateway to Acadia) and another 18 miles from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.
Here are some things that our guests have told us were important to them:
- The View - The tiny A-Frame cottage is in a wooded campsite and about 200 yards from the lake's edge. The property offers a fantastic view of the lake and on a clear day you can see Cadillac Mountain from the lake's edge.
- The Bathroom - The tiny A-Frame cottage has an en-suite bathroom with hot water and a real flush toilet. And the enclosed (private) outdoor shower is adjacent to the cottage.
-The Location - We are close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor yet far enough away to avoid the crowds, traffic, and noise. Our Glamping Camps are deep in the woods on our seven acre private property, not in a campground or "Glamping Resort." We have only three other glamping camps on our property; Acadia 1 (VRBO #2347814), Acadia 2 (VRBO #2522475), and Acadia 3 (VRBO #2686389).
Some other things to note:
The tiny A-Frame cottage features a Queen bed with a real Queen mattress, crisp, clean sheets, and cozy duvets.
The tiny A-Frame cottage has a mini fridge and a Keurig coffee maker (with an assortment of K-cups) so you can enjoy coffee in the morning and cold drinks in the evening.
The outdoor kitchen is across our small parking area and is in a common area. It features a gas grill, a separate stovetop, and a microwave. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and drinking water is available in the outdoor kitchen. We provide basic pots, pans and cooking utensils and plates, cups, and eating utensils. The outdoor kitchen's refrigerator is stocked with condiments and essentials and the ingredients for S'Mores.
The campfire ring with comfortable Adirondack chairs is adjacent to the outdoor kitchen area. There is no need to bring or buy firewood, we have lots.
The road in to our property is a half mile gravel road that takes you deep into the woods. No traffic, no noise, just seclusion, quiet, trees, and the beautiful lake.
FOR SAFETY REASONS WE DO NOT ALLOW ANY PETS OR ANIMALS OF ANY KIND. WE ARE DEEP IN MAINE'S WOODS AND PETS/ANIMALS (DOGS) ATTRACT PREDITORS .
***Glamping Downeast is in Maine's great outdoors so be prepared to accept the inherent risk of your adventure including wildlife, insects, and unpredictable conditions (we can’t control weather). Come with an adventurous and open mind, and some bug spray.
