Welcome to The Nook at Turtle Neck Point, Grand Lake St. Marys.
Affectionately named The Nook, our BRAND NEW guest suite will rekindle childhood memories of times spent in your favorite little hideout. The Nook is tucked away on the second story of our detached garage (unfortunately, not handicapped accessible) which is across the street from our residence and offers you complete privacy.
Nestled in a quiet neighborhood on the south side of Grand Lake, The Nook is situated directly on the channel with only a short 2-minute boat ride to get to the main lake. Area wildlife, including bald eagles and pelicans, are known to frequent the neighborhood making The Nook’s outside patio a peaceful and enjoyable place to just sit and take it all in.
Additionally, The Nook is the perfect place to enjoy all the area has to offer with proximity to Windy Point State Park, scenic bike path (2 adult bikes included with rental), numerous lake bars/restaurants, bait shop and marina where you can rent a pontoon. Downtown Celina is a short boat ride across the lake with free day dockage available at the city docks and offers unique shopping and dining experiences. World-famous Eldora Speedway is an easy 20-minute drive south (17 miles). Other local attractions include the Bicycle Museum of America (New Bremen, OH – 15 minutes), Armstrong Air & Space Museum (Wapakoneta, OH – 30 minutes), the historic Miami Erie Canal, and The Shrine of the Holy Relics.
Spaces include a bedroom (king bed), living room with sleeper sofa (queen bed), kitchen, full bath, balcony, and private patio. Internet, streaming TV, bed linens, towels, and basic toiletries are provided. You can also dock your boat overnight right outside your door. Boat trailers cannot be kept onsite. However, off-site trailer parking is available for no additional cost and is less than a quarter of a mile away. We ask that all guests regard our neighbors and respect quiet hours from 11pm to 8am Friday and Saturday and 10pm to 8am Sunday through Thursday.
The Nook does have 2 EXTERIOR surveillance cameras which capture video of the both exterior doors.
