This rural charmer has been designed specifically with couples and solo travelers in mind, as a place to rest and reconnect. It offers the perfect setting for relaxation nestled within the trees next to a small creek. A hot tub, fireplace (in winter), and fire pit (in summer) add to the romantic coziness. On the inside you'll find a comfortable, newly renovated space including a sweet bedroom loft that overlooks the vaulted living room.
THE SPACE:
Rural, yet conveniently located to all the major attractions: Summit Motorsports Park, Cedar Point, Lake Erie Shores and Islands, Sports Force Park, hiking trails, wineries, and much more!
The cottage has been extensively renovated and was designed specifically with couples in mind. The open loft bedroom has one queen bed, a place to hang clothing, and set out your suitcases. Bed linens and bathrobes are provided (in one size and XXL, though they seem to run small), along with an iron and ironing board. On the main floor there is one common vaulted space with a comfortable sofa, chair, and dining table for two, along with a Roku TV with Netflix and Hulu and a Bluetooth sound bar for entertainment. The bathroom is stocked with plenty of towels for your stay, along with a hairdryer and a few small toiletry items. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessary dishes, pots, pans, a microwave, toaster, and a Keurig with a variety of coffee and teas, or you are welcome to bring your own ground coffee and use the filter cups. We have a bookshelf with a growing selection of books, puzzles, cards, and games to enjoy during your stay as well.
You'll sleep great on our new Serta iComfort Hybrid mattress featuring Serta's cooling Carbon Fiber Memory Foam and EverCool® Fuze Gel Memory Foam.
Outside you may enjoy some time sitting on the front porch on the chair and ottoman sets. Or relax together in the hot tub on the covered patio, which also has a small bistro table. An outdoor charcoal grill is located right off the patio, and further into the yard between the cottage and small creek is a fire pit area with two chairs. Please keep in mind that if it has rained a lot the creek will be moving along nicely, but the fire pit area could be too soggy to use unfortunately. You’ll stay nice and dry up on the patio though and still be able to enjoy the birds chirping and beautiful setting. On the other hand, if we haven't had rain in awhile the creek could be low, and sadly some summers it has been close to dry if there has been severe lack of rain.
Pretty much everything is new in the cottage. We ask that you treat the house like it is your sweet ol' grandmother's: please remove your shoes and if you use the hot tub, wipe up any excess water that may follow you inside.
GUEST ACCESS:
You will have access to the entire cottage and the property in front and to the side of it, along with a dedicated parking area directly across the driveway from the cottage. Please do not venture behind the cottage, as this area is reserved for the home approx 200' behind.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS:
This cottage is a second residence on our rural property, set approx 200' away from our home, so we can be readily available for any situation that may arise. We love to meet new people and can show you around the cottage if you wish, but on the other hand we truly want this to be a place for you to relax and will respect your privacy.
TO NOTE:
No pets truly means no pets of any kind for any reason. No ESA (emotional support) animals, or otherwise. Unfortunately the owner/host/cleaner has developed SEVERE allergies to cats and dogs which cause not only respiratory issues but also immediate skin reactions to dander, saliva, and pet urine. :( We also have ducks and chickens that free range the property at times, which is not compatible with guests bringing outside animals. THANK YOU kindly for understanding, not booking with us if you have an assistance animal, and not otherwise bringing any animals on to the property.
